Common symptoms of high blood pressure include the following:
- Headache
- Blurred vision
- Chest pain
- Dizziness or weakness
- Trouble breathing
- Nosebleeds
Maintain a healthy weight and waist size
Be physically active for at least 30 minutes 3-days a week

- Normal <120 and 80
- Elevated BP=120-129 and <80
- Stage 1 BP=130-139 or 80-89
- Stage II BP > = 140 or > = 90

- Age <80 years <140/90
- Age >=80 years <150/90 mm Hg
- <140/90 mm Hg if diabetes or CKD

Take your Blood Pressure at home:
- Relax, sitting (feet on floor, back supported) for >5 min
- Should avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for at least 30 min
- Ensure empty bladder
- Should not talk during rest period or measurement
- Remove all clothing covering the location of cuff placement
